When King Charles was being diagnosed with cancer, the palace released an announcement about the situation which read as,
“I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes…As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement,” the statement said.
“It is equally heartening to hear how sharing my own diagnosis has helped promote public understanding and shine a light on the work of all those organisations which support cancer patients and their families across the UK and wider world. My lifelong admiration for their tireless care and dedication is all the greater as a result of my own personal experience.”

A source talked about the situation while King Charles was receiving treatment. “William has taken on a bigger role, and Charles has drawn him in on much of the decision-making,” the source said.
“He’s making public appearances, but they’re for shorter periods of time,” the insider added. “He’s often whisked in by helicopter and then whisked out. After an engagement, he needs a good rest.”
The same insider stated that the palace and the close circle of the monarch are worried, but they are trying their best to stay optimistic. “Of course, he is determined to beat it and they are throwing everything at it,” source said.
“Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is really very unwell. More than they are letting on.”
If the reports were to be true, and that King Charles is close to his final days, then what will happen?
After the announcement of King’s passing is made to the public, the new King will speak to the nation. The late King will be there in Palace of Westminster for people to show respect, and then he will be taken to royal vault in King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle, where he will be sent to his eternal sleep.
