In just one night, Susan Boyle became a world phenomenon. She sang “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables” on the 3rd season of “Britain Got Talent,” and she became a world sensation. Millions of people watched her performance where she sang with her angelic voice.
Boyle was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and her doctors warned her to get healthy if she wanted to keep performing on the stages.
“I need to stop eating sweeties and cakes. It’s the bane of my life.” Boyle said in her interview with The Mirror. Since she received her diagnosis, Boyle stopped consuming sweets.
“I’m feeling a lot better now. I had moments where I needed help, and I reached out and I got the help I needed,” Boyle said after she lost 28 pounds.
“(I’m) a champion for those who don’t have the confidence to do things and don’t have a voice; the ones people tend to ignore. I feel like I’m a champion for them.” Boyle shared with her fans after she appeared on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.”
