SUSAN BOYLE RENOVATED HER CHILDHOOD HOME

Susan Boyle was an unemployed woman, who was living with her cat. After her performance of I Dreamed a Dream at the Britain’s Got Talent, she became a star. When people saw her on the stage, they didn’t believe that she got what it takes, but she mesmerized everyone with her singing.

“I used to be a kind of spectator looking outward at the world. But now I’m part of that world and, though frightening, I’m going to embrace it,” Boyle said after receiving fame.

Boyle made $6.8 million in the same year she had her breakthrough. After she released her second album, she found her place in the chars as the third artist to be at the top in the UK and the Us, twice in the same year.

Any other person would live in a villa, or a mansion. But Boyle bought back the childhood home after she became a huge name. She is still living in her childhood home in Blackburn, Scotland, which she bought back in 2010.

”It’s best to be grounded and with your roots. It keeps you grounded and prevents you from saying things maybe you shouldn’t say,” Boyle said.

She then renovated the house, and showed her piano room. “That’s a giggle for a start because I can’t even do scales,” Boyle laughed.

The kitchen got renovated as it was a small one before. Now she has more space in her kitchen. She has a picture of herself while meeting Pope Francis.

In her living room, Boyle decorated the room with many family pictures. She has 6 brothers and sisters, and she is the youngest child of the family.

She also showed the room where she shared with two of her sisters. She stayed alone in that room after her sisters moved away.

Until 2007, Susan lived in the house. That was the year her mother lost her life. Her father lost his life in 90s, so her mother was all she got.

“Some people seem surprised that I choose to stay in my family home. Why shouldn’t I? I feel Mum is still here and there are so many good memories … I’ve spent most of my life in this house and I won’t move now, because I feel it’s part of my new history,” Susan said.

Susan also talked about her love life, where she stated that she would love to have someone who would love her. And she also stated that they have to live in her house. She revealed that she is patiently waiting for the right person.

”I’ve never had any of my own, that’s my biggest regret, but I love kids. They’re good fun to be with,” Boyle shared her thoughts about being a mother.
