4- I stole from myself
Back in 1992, while I was 19, I received my first salary from this new job. I thought about depositing the money into the closest ATM, but it was my first time doing it.
A week later, my bank receipt arrived, but it was missing the $300 I deposited. As I was about to went to the bank, my phone ranged. The police was calling me and asking me if my ATM card was stolen.
It was indeed not in my wallet. I rushed to the police station and found my $300 and ATM card in there. As the officers stated, a man found my card and money in the ATM.
The man stated that a suspicious man was playing with the ATM, and then rushed back into his car. When the man who brought the money and card to the station used ATM, he found $300 and the card in it. Then he returned them to the station.
When they described me the suspicious person who stole my card and money, I realised that it was me. Since it was my first time, I looked a little bit suspicious, and it seems that I’ve failed to deposit.
