As per CNN reported, Hurricane Helene is moving towards Florida, and it is the strongest storm in the U.S. in a year. In the coming 36 to 48 hours, the storm can affect some areas in United States.
CNN stated that it could only take 48 hours for a hurricane to reach 45 mph storm, which is a Category 3 major hurricane. Hurricane Helene is gathering strength over the warm Gulf Coast of Mexico.
The news outlet had warned the people in the coast of Florida to stay aware of the situation, and make preparations for the hurricane. There may be storm surge, flooding rainfall and strong winds.
For the people in Florida’s coastal areas, it is stated that evacuation preparations started. The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office announced from their social media account a warning for the Big Bend region.
Big Bend area will be the place where the storm will reach firstly. This area will be affected by 15 feet storm surge, while the greater Tampa area will witness storm surge up to 8 feet.

On the 25th of September, the strong wind will hit the Florida Keys. By Thursday, Hurricane-force wind gusts have a strong chance to be follow the storm.
Tampa General Hospital prepared a barrier of 10-foot-high to keep the possible floods away from the hospital. Governer of Florida, Ron DeSantis had declared emergency for 41 counties of Florida.
