On the 23rd of September, when the first episode of 26th season got aired, Snoop and Buble made their debut at the show.
After the premiere, people had shared their thoughts on the new coaches of the show, where there were many different comments on various opinions. Mainly, the comments were about Snoop and Stefani.
“Banning this season due to Snoop Dogg! Disgraceful,” commented a person on social media, while another fan wrote, “This [season’s] initial episode was awful!!! Snoop is a cringy judge! [His] trying to seek a contestant on branding and marketing was way out there!!!”
Another fan shared their thoughts as, “Not sure why they brought back Gwen. She was cute when Blake was on as a judge. I love Michael. But honestly I’m starting to find I’m bored with the show… none of the contestants really stood out to me yet.”
A person was not happy with Snoop, “Snoop Dogg keeps saying the same things over and over. This is the worst set of judges they have ever had. I won’t be watching and see how the ratings go this year.”
“So we’re only nine minutes into the show and Gwen Stefani is already irritating. Is she always gonna use Blake to try to get to the contestants [?] 🙄,” criticised one another.
There were also some other fans who were happy with what they saw in the show. A person praised the coaches as, “Great judges! Snoop did even better than I expected!”
In the episode, the coaches had performed the iconic “Heartache Tonight” from the Eagles. Snoop started the song then Buble entered. McEntire and her artist Asher HaVon, who won the last season, continued and then Gwen Stefani finished the performance.
McEntire had shared her secret to pick an artist as, “Are we inspired? Do we feel something? I will turn in a heartbeat for somebody that makes me feel something.”
