OLD WOMAN WANTED TO FOLLOW HER DREAMS, BUT HER DAUGHTER TRIED TO STOP HER

Four months ago, Jim, May’s husband passed away. For thirty years, they were happily married and raised their daughter, Beth. The house was a place where it was hard for May to stay. She was drowning in memories.

Her daughter Beth didn’t grieve like May. She wanted her mother to stop grieving that hard.

May needed time. After losing someone you loved for 30 years, you would need some time.

As she was looking for something in the attic, she found the sign Jim made for May’s dream cafe, which she always wanted to open one day.

As she talked with her daughter after finding the sign, Beth told her mother that she needed the money in her mother’s bank account for her granddaughter Ashley’s education.

May apologized, but she was sad. Beth told her mother that she was too old for starting a business, but May was only 50, and that wasn’t old.

As days passed, May made up her mind and decided to open the cafe. She was returning from the grocery store when she decided on her plan. She saw a sing on the window of a store, “For Rent!”

She had an argument with her daughter. She needed support for her daughter as her ex-husband wasn’t much of a help. Molly told her daughter to sue Jack for not helping with Ashley’s expenses, and Beth told her mother that she thought her mother would be her support.

“And I thought my daughter would support me,” May said then. Casey didn’t respond as she hung up the phone.

That afternoon, May had a cafe to work in it. She quickly decorated the cafe of her dreams, and put the sign Jim made for her. More than two decades ago.

Before the cafe was ready to open, Beth appeared on the cafe’s door. May welcomed her daughter in, and Beth apologized. She told her that she will help with what she can, and that she needs her mother’s emotional support for facing Jack at the court.

As the cafe worked out, Beth, Ashley and May had created a profitable business out of there, Beth also received the child support Jack didn’t pay for years.
