Lane Dyer from Edmond, Oklahoma, has a 6-year-old Havanese named Oakley, and a black cat, Binx. The stray cat was only two months old when she showed up at the door.
Dyer explained that the pets were “polar opposites,” but they were family. The nervous incident showed that Binx was there to put her life at risk when a family member was in danger.
She didn’t even hesitate when she saw Oakley was attacked by two wild coyotes, as she rushed and jumped onto them to defend poor Oakley.
As Dyer revealed, when they found Oakley, she was “gushing blood,” but after the veterinary intervention she was saved.
“I was kind of inspired by it, quite frankly,” Lane Dyer said. “It was inspiring to see just our little outdoor cat just jump at two coyotes that were attacking this little dog who she loves and run them off.”
