As Ruby was a single child, she grew with a close bound to her parents. Even when she was in college, her parents would visit her once in a month. Now Ruby was the mother of her own family, where she had a husband, Frank, and daughter, Cindy.
After she lost her father, things got changed.
As her father, Mark, passed away, her mother, Jen, wanted to spend more and more time with her family, especially with Cindy. She would pick Cindy whenever she would like to and drop her off after they spend time together.
Recently, whenever Jen drops off Cindy, she would cry all the time until Jen leaves. When Ruby noticed that, she asked her daughter what was wrong.
Then Cindy revealed that her grandma had a friend and that she was scared of him. His name was William.
When Ruby heard the name, she went pale, because William was her late father’s name.
On the next day, Ruby went to talk with her mother. When she revealed to her mother what she spoke with Cindy, Jen started to cry.
She apologized and didn’t think that Cindy would be spooked. She then revealed to Ruby that she is sometimes talking to her late husband. It was a coping mechanism for Jen, but Cindy was a child who wouldn’t understand such a thing.
Then Ruby wanted her mother to explain what was happening to Cindy, as she thought it would be better if Cindy would hear the truth from her grandmother.
However, Ruby wanted her mother to go and talk to a therapist because she thought her mother needed to. She told her mother that there was nothing wrong with talking to her father, thinking he is still with them in the house was something else.
As months passed and Jen kept seeing a therapist changed everything, and put things back in order.
