It was sure that from their second week together Nick and Emily would end up married. Emily was great for Nick, and Jen was aware that her son would be happy with Emily.
Nick had an ex-girlfriend, Nat. They had a long history, and their breakup was not Nat’s choice. She was still in pursuit of Nick, and she was still in their friend circle, where they would see each other in gatherings.
As time passed, Nat and Emily became good friends, and she had a big place at the wedding of Nick and Emily.
During the rehearsal dinner, a day before the wedding, everything was looking great and in order. Emily and Nick were in love for they were ready to start their life together.
On the wedding day, as the guests slowly started to gather in the venue, Natalie walked to Nick and whispered into his ear “Read and run,” and handed a letter.
Jen heard that and after Nick read the letter, he rushed to his car and sped off. As the guests were shocked, Nat turned to Jen and told her that she showed the true face of Emily.
As Emily had no idea what was happening outside of the bride’s room, she was happily waiting for her time to come and walk down the aisle. She had no idea what to say to her.
After learning what happened, Emily tried to reach out to Nick, but she couldn’t. She only cried as she was helpless.
On the next day, Nick returned back to his home as his eyes were red. Then he revealed that Nat handed him over some pictures of Emily while kissing a man at a bar.
Jen wanted Nick to talk to Emily, and after he did, Emily swore that she didn’t do such a thing and wanted to go and talk with the owner of the bar the pictures were taken in to watch the security cam.
As they checked the security cam, they saw that the images were played with. Emily was in there with her girlfriends and she never come in contact with a man. Then they confronted Nat, and she confessed that she tried to split them, as she was still after Nick and played a game for years to gain Emily’s trust to make a scene.
As they were both played with, Emily and Nick promised each other to never believe anyone other than each other and they kicked Nat out of their lives, as she was kicked out of the friends group too.
