40-year-old NFL superstar Aaron Rodgers mostly talked about his professional achievements, but also his personal life too. Rodgers is currently playing for New York Jets.
There were many rumors about him, his personal life and relationships. People always rumored about him as him being gay, just because he wasn’t married and welcomed any children.
In an interview for Ian O’Connor’s biography, “Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers,” Rodgers talked about the rumors.
“I think I was upset at the framing [of the rumor] because it was meant to shame the idea of being gay, and I have so many friends that are gay in the community.”
He is still frustrated about people ask him about his sexual preferences over his sportsmanship, despite he told to the media that he “really, really like[s] women,” eleven years ago.
He was in a relationship with Shailene Woodley, while Rodgers was playing for Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin. As their relationship was a long distance one, they had challenges.
A source talked about their relationship and told that they tried to “kept things private and low-key.”
In 2021, Rodgers revealed his engagement with Woodley, when he accepted MVP award.
In her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Woodley shared that they were engaged for a while, and she described Rodgers as a “wonderful, incredible, human being.”
“I have the perspective that I would have met Aaron in any context, any space in time, because I feel we were meant to be together.”
In February 2022, the couple decided to split a year after they publicly revealed it.
“Shailene felt everything was on Aaron’s terms and it wasn’t making her happy.” A source said.
In 2023, Rodgers was linked to Mallory Edens. For many occasions, they had been seen together at Bucks games. When Rodgers made his debut with New York Jets, Edens was among the spectators.
