GRANDMOTHER DIDN’T WANT HER GRANDSON TO ATTEND HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS

Margaret wanted peace during Halloween, as she was not interested with decorating her home for the celebrations, like the rest of her neighborhood. She believed that Halloween was a nonsense.

As her daughter Cammy had a job interview, she asked Margaret to babysit her grandson, Elliot. She accepted and few hours later they were at her door.

When Elliot arrived, he asked where his grandma’s Halloween decorations were. Margaret told her grandson that Halloween is a nonsense and, in her house, they don’t celebrate it.

Camilla then asked her mother to enjoy the holiday with her son as she wanted her to have a better relationship than the relationship Camilla had with her mother.

Then Margaret accepted. “He can go trick-or-treating.” Camilla wanted Margaret to go with him, as that annoyed her. “Alright, alright. We’ll go.”

After Camilla left, Elliot asked when are they going trick or treating, and Margaret told him that they will not.

“But Mom said you promised! She told me you agreed to take me!”

Margaret hushed her grandson as she told him again that Halloween was a ridiculous holiday and that she will not have a place in this nonsense.

“Why are you so mean, Grandma?” Elliot asked.

“It’s the devil’s holiday! Now stop this nonsense, or I’ll send you to your room.”

As few hours had passed, when Margaret checked Elliot’s room, she couldn’t find Elliot in his room. He was not in the house.

She grabbed her coat, and went outside to find Elliot. If Camilla found out that Elliot ran away, she would be furious and Margaret wouldn’t want that as they were recently started talking again.

She searched the streets for hours. She then noticed the abandoned house in the end of the neighborhood. She approached to the house, and heard Elliot’s voice.

“Let me go! Please!”

A group of teenagers were about to beat Elliot, as they had cornered him in the abandoned house.

At that moment, Margaret raised her walking cane and waved it in the air. As the teenagers saw an old lady running at them, they were horrified and ran away.

“Grandma? I’m so glad you found me!” He started to cry.

As she told her grandson that it all passed, she wiped his tears away. Once Elliot was alright, they went outside and started trick or treating together until Camilla came back from her job interview, which went successfully.
