After high school, Dani and Nathan married as they were in love. They welcomed theşr daughter Elly.
As years passed, Nathan once day told Dani that she let herself go as he criticised his wife for not looking good as she once was.
Elly was working from home, and she was working for long hours.
“You’re always behind that computer screen. Do you even give Elly enough attention? It doesn’t seem like it. She’s always alone when I come home from work.”
She would usually talk back, but she was exhausted from arguing so she let go. As time passed, Nathan stopped criticising. He even started to become more tolerable.
Dani thought he become like that because he got a new offer from another city. She was working from home so moving away was not a problem for her, and their daughter was only in the first grade.
After their move, Dani found Elly crying in her room, as she just returned from her school.
“I don’t want Miss Allen to be my mother! I want you to be my mother!” Elly cried as Dani asked what happened to her daughter.
Then Elly revealed that she saw her father and her teacher talking about how she would be a better mother for her, and that her father laughed when her teacher said that.
That night, as Nathan returned from work, Dani poured some drink for herself and her husband as she confronted him. As Nathan went pale, he had no other option than to confess.
Nathan said that his affair started before they moved in, and that he didn’t receive an offer, but he found a job at their new city, for he wanted to move in since the woman she loved was in there.
After that Dani filed for divorce immediately. She returned back to their previous city with Elly. After the divorce was over in few months, Nathan was free to visit Elly whenever he wanted, and he also lost interest towards Miss Allen, as he realized that he was in love with Dani.
