Jen and Mell were in pursuit of a career in Broadway. They needed a job to survive in New York, so they found a job as maids.
Jen was born in Philadelphia, and when she wanted to move her mother didn’t want her to leave. She never knew her father, as she was raised by her single mother.
The agency they signed in, sent Jen to an older man’s house.
She opened the door after she received the keys. She started with the kitchen, then living room and then the bedroom.
Then it was time for the old man’s office. She hesitated at first, but then decided to clean in there too.
While cleaning the office, she found something shocking. She found a picture of a young woman. When she carefully examined the picture, she realized that it was her mother’s picture.
At that moment, she heard footsteps. She left the picture where she found it and then the door got opened.
The old man introduced himself as Richard Smith, the owner of the house.
“I’m almost done, sir. But may I ask a question?” Jen said, and asked about the picture.
“Ah yes. That’s Helen. She was the love of my life.”
Then Richard explained that the woman in the picture, Helen, lost her life in a bus crash. He also explained that Helen was pregnant at the moment. He couldn’t attend to her funeral because Helen’s mother hated him.
Then Jen explained that the woman in the picture is looking like her mother.
“Well, my mother, Helen, looks exactly like this woman. Obviously, she’s older now, but the resemblance is uncanny. I’m 98% sure this is her,” Jen explained.
As they talked a little more, Richard wanted to call Helen through Jen’s phone.
“Is this Helen Geller?”
Richard explained what he thought, and it turned out that Helen’s mother had deceived both of them. She told Richard that Helen was dead, and to her daughter, she said that Richard left her with the baby in her belly.
Then Helen went to New York, and few months later, Richard and Helen attended to the Broadway game, which Jen and Mell were starring in.
