FATE OF THE CHILDREN FROM “NANNY AND THE PROFESSOR”

The show, “Nanny and the Professor,” started in 1970, and in a short time it found a big audience. Juliet Mills was the “Nanny Phoebe Figalilly” of the show, where she acted along with David Doremus, Trent Lehman, and Kim Richards.

The children of the show, had the perfect opportunity to find their place in the industry. Some ended up happy, some had tragic fate, and some struggled in their journey.

Doremus had a quiet life. He was the Hal Everett Jr., the eldest child of the family in the show.

He wanted to become a dentist, and saved money for his college, where he attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry.

At the age of 66, Doremus, has a life built on something different than acting.

TRENT LEHMAN

Trent Lehman was the Bentley “Butch” Everett of the show. He was nine when he was casted.

Lehman had starred in other shows as, “Gunsmoke” and “The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie.”

After the show was ended, Lehman struggled a lot.

Sadly, when he was 20 in January of 1982, he took his own life. He hung himself on a schoolyard fence. Before he took his own life, he talked with one of his friends that he wanted to end his life, as he couldn’t bear living anymore.

KIM RICHARDS

Kim Richards was the Prudence Everett, the youngest of the show. She was six when she was casted in her role. After the show was over, Richards kept her feet in the industry.

She struggled with alcoholism in her 20s, which kept her in struggle for many years. In 1991, she lost her fiance, John J. Collett.

Collett was murdered, and his passing devastated Richards, where she lost herself to her addiction.

Later, she lost her husband in 2016. They were separated, but remained close.
