A family of four, a mother, her fiance and their two children lost their lives while they were escaping from Hurricane Helene, on the 27th of September.
Alison Wisely, her two young sons, Felix and Lucas, and her fiancé, Knox Petrucci, from Green Mountain, North Carolina, were leaving their home to ran away from the hurricane but they got stuck in the flooding.
As the water raised more and more, the family left the car and tried to ran back to their house, but at that moment, a huge wave took them into the Toe River.
A man saw the family, and tried to warn them about the raising water and the wave, but things escalated too quickly. The man later identified the family when their pictures were shown.
The home was found empty, except their lone dog was found inside.
On the 4th of October, Alison’s body was recovered in Tennessee. On the next day, Felix and Lucas’ bodies were found and two days after that Knox was brought back home to rest with his family.
May the family rest in peace.
