Amy was away for a week, for her business trip, and her husband Dave was in charge of their children, Alex and Tommy. Amy thought that her husband can manage caring alone for their children who were 6 and 8.
A week later, Amy returned back into her home. She was exhausted and was only thinking of collapsing onto the bed. It was early in the morning. She opened the door slowly.
Then her heart skipped a beat. Her children were sleeping in the hallway. Their faces were covered in dirt.
She walked past them without waking them up, and couldn’t find her husband in their bedroom.
Then she checked children’s room. There, her husband turned the room into a gaming room, and was playing game on gaming console, where he was surrounded by energy drinks.
Amy asked what the hell was happening, and Dave welcomed her as if nothing happened.
“Oh, hey babe. You’re home early.”
“Early? It’s midnight! Why are our children sleeping on the floor?”
“Oh, it’s fine. The boys were happy sleeping outside. They thought it was an adventure.”
“Everything’s under control.” Dave said, as he explained that they were fed and safe.
She then screamed and kicked him out of the room. Dave then brought the children back to their room, and put them in their bed.
Then she had a plan. When the morning arrived, she prepared a breakfast, pancake in the shape of Mickey Mouse, and a smiley face she made out of fruits.
He was surprised when he saw the breakfast.
When Dave asked, “What the hell is that?”
Amy warned him for bad language. She then showed the chore chart filled with stars. She explained that for each chore he would finish, he would receive a big star.
“Are you kidding me? I’m a grown man, I don’t need—”
Then Amy yelled back, “Are you?”
She was mad that her husband acted like a little kid. She kept acting like that for the week until he realised the mistake he made.
He then apologized, and started to act like a real man. He apologized, and decorated the children’s room, especially for Alex and Tommy.
