THE WORST STORM IN THE LAST 100 YEARS, HURRICANE MILTON

After the strength Hurricane Milton gathered before it reach to the US, experts warned citizens that the it might be the strongest hurricane hit the US in the last 100 years.

As it is a Category 5 storm, the winds will pass 157 mph. There will be lots of destruction, the experts stated.

“A high percentage of framed homes will be destroyed, with total roof failure and wall collapse,” The National Hurricane Center stated, as they explained that trees and power poles will collapse too.

The water levels will rise to 12 feet at some places and Tampa Bay will witness the worst surge they had seen in the last 100 years.

The debris left from Hurricane Helene can make things worse as the debris can act like an amplifier for Hurricane Milton’s destructiveness.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor warned people, “[If you] stay in one of those evacuation areas, you’re gonna die.”

“This is going to be bad. Everyone just needs to get out,” Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said.

Governor Ron DeSantis stated, “There are some areas with a lot of debris… if hit by a major hurricane, it’s going to dramatically increase damage.”

Use “Know Your Zone” map if you are in the way of the Hurricane Milton. Be careful.
