The younger brother of iconic pop singer Madonna, Christopher Ciccone, lost his life at the age of 63 after he lost his battle against cancer.
As ABC News reported, his family released a statement as, “Christopher Ciccone died peacefully on October 4th, surrounded by his husband and loved ones; surrounded by love.”
In Madonna’s early career, Christopher was her dancer, choreographer, dresser and consultant.
Christopher also had his own career as an interior designer, footwear designer, and memoirist.
Madonna also shared the news of her brother’s passing as she shared a post from her social media account, where she wrote, “My brother Christopher is gone. He was the closest human to me for so long.”
As Madonna stated that her bond with her brother was difficult to tell, “We took each other’s hands and we danced through the madness of our childhood,” the singer said.
“Once again, we held hands We closed our eyes and we danced.Together.I’m glad he’s not suffering anymore.There will never be anyone like him.I know he’s dancing somewhere [sic],” Madonna shared.
10 days ago, Madonna and Christopher’s step mother Joan passed away, as she had a battle against cancer too.
