Peggy was living in a lovely neighbourhood alone, after her husband Arnold left her alone in this world. She had a granddaughter, Jessie. One day, she gifted a garden gnome to Peggy, which she loved.
Little did she know, her next-door neighbour Carla was going to create problems.
One day, Carla went to talk with Peggy, while she was watering her flowers. Peggy noticed her, but she decided not to say anything and kept tending her flowers.
Then Carla asked that if she knew that garden gnomes were allowed, or she was violating any home-owners associations rule.
Then Peggy looked at Carla angrily. She revealed that her sweet granddaughter gifted her the gnome, and that she was aware of what was allowed and what wasn’t allowed by the HOA.
Few days later, she received a letter from HOA. It was a violation notice. Carla didn’t know that she started a war with a person, she would never try to if she had any idea.
Peggy was a dirty dancer. She then read all the rules in HOA rulebook. She found many problems in Carla’s house. Her pristine white fence? An inch too tall. That fancy mailbox she was so proud of? Wrong shade of beige.
Her wind chimes, they were the main reason of noise compliance.
Then she called her friend Maggie, and asked if her late husband’s gnomes were still in the garage. She then took them from Maggie, as she had a second phase in her plan.
During the night, she placed the gnomes in Carla’s garden, and she filed a violation report to HOA. When the morning came, Carla was shocked as she screamed when she found the gnomes. Few minutes after that, a man in a suit approached to Carla’s house.
Then Carla saw Peggy’s face, and realised that she hit the wrong cat.
