Sandra and Janet were at the restaurant, where they were talking about Janet’s foster child. Janet advised Sandra to foster a child with her husband Mark. Sandra was sad that her husband was not able to produce his own.
As they were talking, Janet looked at to the other side of the restaurant, and pointed someone to Sandra. Mark was at that same restaurant and he was eating with a woman.
Sandra was shocked. They went to the booth behind Mark and his secretary was sitting and started to listen them. Sandra couldn’t believe when Mark called his secretary “sweetheart,” and he gifted a pair of earrings to her.
They’ve talked with a waitress and the woman explained that Mark and his secretary are their regulars.
The next day, Sandra and Janet made a plan and they brought some lunch to work. As they entered Mark’s office, they saw the woman sitting there. Mark was surprised to see his wife in there.
Then she introduced herself to the secretary, and when the woman learned that she was Marks wife, she was about to tell her who she was but Mark intervened, “Secretary!” He said.
“Eliza is my secretary. We were just working on the presentation for this evening’s launch event.”
Then Sandra praised Eliza’s earrings, and the woman said, “They were a gift from my fa-father.”
That evening, Sandra and Janet decided to follow them to their business presentation meeting.
In there, they sat on a corner to watch everything. At the end of the presentation, Eliza revealed the truth, and she thanked to her father, and invited him on stage. When Mark went to the stage, Sandra was shocked.
When Sandra went to their side to confront them, “Please, Sandy,” Mark started. “It happened in college. There was a party at the frat house, and there was this girl… I barely remember anything about it, and I didn’t know about Eliza at all until she showed up at our doorstep six months ago—”
“I was in shock. And I was afraid you’d be hurt to find out I had a child with someone else after we tried so hard to have one of our own.” Mark pleaded.
“No, Mark, you were a coward,” Sandra said. “What you’ve put me through is bad enough, but the way you’ve treated your child is inexcusable.”
Eliza apologized then as she cried. Sandra hug Eliza, as she wiped her tears away. “There are no more secrets now, and everything’s going to be okay,” she said with a big smiled.
