Jordan was the father of Alan, Eric and Stan. He was pushing his triplets’ stroller through their mother, Kyra’s grave. He saw a man in his 50s above his wife’s grave. The man prayed, and turned back. When he saw Jordan, he raised his hand for a handshake, but then went away once he saw the babies.
The man turned back later, and talked with Jordan. He said that his name was Denis, and that he was an old friend of Kyra, from Chicago.
Kyra never mentioned his name before, so Jordan never knew a friend of Kyra whose name was Denis. As the man checked the babies he turned to Jordan.
“Mr. Fox, I know this might not make any sense to you, but…I know you’ll be wondering who I am and why I’m here. I’m the boys’ REAL FATHER, and I’ve come here to take them.”
Jordan couldn’t believe what he just heard. The man pleaded. He stated once again that he was the real father of the babies. He then described Kyra, what she liked and how she was looking.
That hurt Jordan a lot. “ENOUGH…STOP!” Jordan yelled at Denis. Jordan wanted to leave, but Denis wasn’t stopping. He was saying that Jordan shouldn’t waste his youth on the children, and that he would give them a good future after all he had a company and was wealthy.
Then he offered $100,000 for the children. Denis gave his card to Jordan and left.
As he went back home, he couldn’t believe that Denis knew Kyra had a scar on her left thigh. Then he remembered the time he met Kyra, two years ago…
Jordan was a bartender when Kyra and her friends went into the bar he was working in. As Kyra and her friends became regulars at the bar, he wanted to meet with her and invited her to a date. But one day he saw Kyra kissing with a man.
As he was devastated, on that night, he found Kyra crying on the corner, while her boyfriend was dancing with another woman. Kyra wanted him help her leave the bar.
After he took her back to her home, he returned to the bar. On the next day, Kyra wanted to invite him to drink coffee. Then they became a couple. In two weeks, she became pregnant and after that they decided to get married.
“I was an IDIOT! Everything she told me was a LIE…Her love was a game…she married me because she needed a man to father SOMEONE ELSE’S KIDS.” Jordan cried at home.
One night, Jordan drank a lot while his neighbour was watching over the kids. He then decided to call Denis and gave the triplets away. As he pulled up the card, he stopped himself. As he started to cry, he couldn’t believe that he was about to gave the children he loved away.
Then he called Denis. Jordan stated that depite they were not his children, he loved then and he loved Kyra. “I’m sorry, Denis. Even I cannot live without them. They are my world. And I don’t want your money. You cannot trade love for money.”
Denis accepted Jordan’s decision, but he insisted on meeting. Jordan agreed, as he made up his mind, and thought that he already knew everything.
At the cafe, Denis revealed that he was actually Kyra’s father. Jordan was shocked, because Kyra once told him that her father left her when she was a teenager. After a car crash took her mother’s life. That was when she received that scar on her thigh.
Denis didn’t want to reveal his true identity to Jordan, as he was afraid that he would refuse him to see his grandsons. Jordan stated that he is more than welcome to spend time with the children.
It was an incredible relief for Jordan. Despite he loved his children, now that he knew they were his, things were much more clearer.
