Andrew loved farming. For generations, his family had this land and they were farmers too. His son Peter was born in the farm, and he was sure that he would be a farmer too, until Peter grown up and decided to do something else.
His wife Hannah passed away, when their son Peter was nine. As ten years passed, things changed. As people started to farm with modern seeds, Andrew refused. But that costed his farm to be less profitable.
When Peter almost finished high school, he suggested to sell some land from their farm, as they had no money for Peter to go college.
Andrew wanted his son to study agriculture, but Peter had other ideas. He didn’t like his father’s suggestion when he first heard them.
He always wanted to become a musician. He was a talented singer and guitar player. But Andrew wanted his son to be a farmer, like whole his family were.
When the morning came, Andrew couldn’t find his son in the farm. He was gone. Few weeks later Andrew was able to contact him. Peter stated that he was working as a musician, and he had some work in his hand. He was getting by.
As Andrew wanted to help his son, he sold the farm. He went to Nashville, where his son was trying his luck out. He gave $450,000 to him, and without saying anything he went back to his car and went back home.
He cried the whole drive. He went to his grandfather’s grave. Placed a flower and apologized that he lost the farm.
As two years passed, Peter became a famous and successful musician. His albums sold millions, and he had earned a lot.
One day, he visited his father and took him for a ride. When they reached to their final destination, Andrew couldn’t believe his eyes. They were at their farm.
Peter bought the farm back, and sometimes he would help his father with work.
