Antoine and Emma met while Antoine was in the US when he was in there in his exchange years. They fell in love with each other. One holiday, after Antoine proposed and Emma accepted, he took Emma to France. To meet with his parents.
They went to Antoine’s parents’ house which was located in the countryside. It was amazing. The house was surrounded with forest and incredible gardens.
Marie, Antoine’s mother welcomed them into the property. Pierre was waiting inside. He warmly hugged Emma, as he welcomed her too.
They talked until it was time for dinner. At the dinner, Antoine excused himself to the bathroom. Then Pierre and Marie started to speak French, without knowing that Emma knew the language.
They first discussed that if Emma was a proper match for their son, and then they talked about a secret under the bed of Antoine, which they added that he shouldn’t find it.
When Antoine returned, Emma whispered to him what happened. Then he excused himself once more, and Emma decided to go with him. But when she standup, the world got blackened, and then she woke up in a hospital room.
Antoine revealed that she fainted due to low blood sugar and stress. He also explained that he found his mother’s diary under his bend. There was also a box filled with old photographs and letters.
He revealed then that Marie was not his biological mother. Her father Pierre had an affair with another woman, his biological mother, and then Marie decided to raise Antoine as if he was her own.
He also was the owner of his late mother’s inheritance, which he would receive once he was 30. But his parents also wanted to take the inheritance for themselves. He stated that he will confront them about what he learned.
Then they went back to the mansion, to confront them together and find out the truth about everything.
