In 2008, the star talked about her choice to not accepting a recording contract as, “Actually, I’ve always regretted that. I think it would’ve been interesting to see where it would’ve gone. Could’ve, would’ve…”

She also revealed that her role as Marcia affected her life, as she struggled a lot while she was in the show. “For most of my life, I have been followed by Marcia Brady. After Maureen McCormick graduated, her family had helped her to leave her addictions behind.

McCormick revealed that her parents were almost reported her to the authorities, as they struggled for years for her. Even though, the star explained that she would find a way to use it.

She also gave an important name who helped her battle against addiction, her husband Michael Cummings.

“It’s either me or that, take it or I’m out of here.” Cummings said to McCormick at that time. As she couldn’t risk losing Cummings, she tried her best to leave drugs behind.

She published her memoir, “Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice,” at the age of 68.
