Barbra was working hard to keep her family financially alive, since her husband, Chris was bound to a wheelchair. She was returning from her friend’s house in Destin Florida, as she spent a weekend years after working hard.
She was working in a corporate, also she had two other jobs. One was at an Etsy store, and the other one was selling custom knitted pieces.
Two years ago, her husband had an accident at work, where a box fell on his head and that caused him to be paralyzed from under his waist. The company her husband James was working for paid the hospital costs, but they didn’t do anything else than buying a wheelchair.
Chris had a friend, Bruce, who was a businessman. He would cheer him up whenever he was feeling down. He would take him to a journey when he would find time in his crowded schedule, and it would take the whole weekend.
Barbra would take the weekend too when Bruce would take Chris to somewhere else. To her luck, the bus she was in going through a road where it was looking at Bruce’s property. She saw something incredible at the golf court of Bruce’s land.
Her husband was running at the golf court, and was riding the golf cart. She was shocked. She believed that her husband’s paralysis was gone and that he would surprise her when he was returned.
When the day arrived and Bruce left Chris, Barbra waited for the whole day for her husband to surprise her, but he didn’t. Then she realised that Chris was only pretending to be disabled.
During the dinner she yelled at him. She revealed that she saw him walking and running. Then Chris revealed that he wanted to rest for a while, and that he loved when Barbra became overly attentive to him.
Barbra couldn’t believe what she just heard. For two years, Barbra worked her soul out and that was the prize of being a good wife. She was used by the love of her life. Barbra left the table, took a bag and put some belongings in it. She then went to her mother’s home.
She couldn’t sleep that night, as she cried a lot. For the next few days Chris constantly tried to reach out to her but she didn’t respond back. She then took all the money from their joint bank account, and filed for divorce. It was the best choice she ever made in years.
