PEOPLE CRITICISED CARRIE UNDERWOOD AFTER SHE BECAME A JUGDE IN “AMERICAN IDOL”

After Katy Perry left the show, Carrie Underwood became the new judge of the show. The change didn’t make some people happy as they wanted some diversity in the judge’s musical background.

“I don’t think Carrie is a good choice. We already have a country judge. So now we have two country and one contemporary? No pop genre judge.” A fan commented.

“I wish they would have replaced Katy with another pop singer, too much country in the judging.” Another person shared.

“Pop act please [sic] someone relevant 🙄 Carrie just isn’t adding anything.”

Some other fans were happy to see Carrie Underwood in the show, as they made praising comments about the singer. “Katy was okay but I’m so glad Carrie Underwood is the replacement. Somebody who knows real talent!”

But nonetheless, people were not believing that Carrie could replace Katy Perry. “No one can replace Katie [sic] Perry. Especially NOT Carrie Underwood. Won’t be watching anymore- [sic] so disappointing,” a fan shared.

It was back in August when it was announced that Carrie Underwood will be the new judge for the show. Back in 2004, Underwood was a contestant in the show, and she shared, “today I am now one of those judges searching for someone who wants to BE AN IDOL [sic]!”

“It feels like going home,” Underwood also shared her thoughts about being back at the show.

“It’s part of me that’s part of my history, so hopefully I can just bring that into my advice for the people that are standing in front of us.”

“I feel like being on both sides of the coin, I’ll be able to hopefully offer some insight and help and kind of offer a different viewpoint,” the singer continued.

“I can’t lie. I just can’t. You can tell.” Carrie said, as she promised that she will be true with her comments.
