Emily was living with her father, her stepmother Carla, and her son Mason. Mason was 11, and he was a true brother for Emily. She had no problem with her. But Carla never liked Emily, and she had no idea why.
Her mother passed away seven years ago, and a year later, her father married Carla. The stepmother was acting normal at first, but she changed a lot as time passed. Emily was looking like her late mother, and that was a problem for Carla. Sadly, her father couldn’t or wouldn’t see the treat from Carla.
When the prom night of Emily arrived, she bought a Velvet dress with the money she saved from babysitting. Violet was her mother’s favorite color.
When she was at the hair saloon, they were surprised to see her. The receptionist stated that she didn’t expect to see her, then the hairdresser arrived as she revealed that Carla canceled her appoitment.
Then she saw her in there, she was smirking. Emily asked if there was any emptiness in the schedule, but there were none. She then returned back home as she cried. She tried to fix her hair on her own, but it was not good enough for the prom night.
Then she heard a car honk. The car kept honking until Emily looked out of the window. A limousine was waiting for her. Her father was standing on the porch. Then her father handed a note over to Emily with a smile.
Her stepbrother, Mason had talked with their father, and explained the whole situation. He revealed on the note that he heard his mother talking to the hair saloon, and then he talked with their father.
As Carla arrived back home, she was shocked to find a limousine. She then shriek at Richard, but then Mason come out of the house, and revealed what he did.
