PRINCE WILLIAM HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH MEGHAN MARKLE’S WEDDING OUTFIT

The rift in the royal family, where Prince Harry is on one side, and the rest of the family on the other, is growing with each revelation from insiders or royal expert’s explanations.

Harry and Meghan’s wedding was not a joyful day for one royal family member, as claims are stating that Prince William had problems regarding the wedding. The reason for the problems are also related with late mother of both princes, Princess Diana.

New reports are suggesting that Prince William also had some problems with Markle from the beginning too.

Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, authors of Finding Freedom, shared some things about William and Meghan’s relationship. The authors claimed that Markle was aware that both Prince William and Prince Harry were “wary of women who were more interested in their titles than their well-being.”

“William first said to her, ‘I was looking forward to meeting the girl who has put that silly grin on my brother’s face,’” as the authors shared.

Prince William supported his brother and Markle in the beginning, as he released a statement short after she was introduced to the royal family. The authors shared that despite William shared his support, he also “privately voiced concerns.”

William told to Harry, “Don’t feel you need to rush this” and, “Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl.”

In 2021, Meghan revealed in her interview with Oprah that she didn’t know how to act when she was with the Queen in private, and that she “didn’t fully understand” the royal way.

“There was no way to understand what the day to day was going to be like,” Markle said.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl shared in her book “The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown,” that Middleton didn’t care what Meghan was going through, and she didn’t help her.

“It was certainly Harry’s feeling that William and Kate hadn’t rolled out the red carpet as much as they might have done,” Nicholl said. “You know, there wasn’t this sort of instant welcoming of Meghan into the royal fold.”

“I say in the book that William was the first to meet Meghan. And actually, he was really thrilled that Harry had met someone who he’d really fallen for. He was overjoyed when Meghan came into his life, and he fell in love with this woman,” royal expert continued.

“Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so. They had a bit of a fallout, which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort.”

During their wedding, then-Prince Charles walked Markle down the aisle, because Meghan shared that her father had an operation, and that he was in the hospital at that time.

In his book, royal biographer Robert Hardman shared that Charles asked Markle if she would like his assist.

“Feeling for his future daughter-in-law, the Prince of Wales offered to step in, saying he would be honored to escort Meghan up the aisle of St George’s Chapel to the altar. The reply, according to one friend, was not quite what he was expecting: ‘Can we meet halfway?’”

“Here was an indicator that this was no blushing bride, but a confident, independent woman determined to make a grand entrance on her own.”

In 2018, in a documentary, Harry talked about how he asked this from his father. “I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming, and he immediately said, ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs and I’m here to support you.’”

“For him, that’s a fantastic opportunity to step up and be that support, and you know, he’s our father, so of course, he’s going to be there for us.”

Harry also revealed in his book that Prince William didn’t like when he learned that his mother’s jewelry was being used during the propose from Harry, and in the wedding too.

“I have been told that, still concerned about the match, he’d sought assurances from the Queen that Harry’s bride would not be wearing any of Princess Diana’s jewellery, even though his own wife was allowed to wear it,” author Robert Jobson said.

“Despite sharp digs and thin skins on both sides, the wedding at Windsor in May 2018 was a spectacular success,” Jobson continued. “In public, the Royal Family were all smiles, though privately they were at daggers drawn.”
