OUTBACK WORKERS WROTE A MESSAGE ON COPS’ RECEIPT

Four police officers decided to eat at the Outback Steakhouse in Slidell, Louisiana, and were shocked when they saw the message on their receipt, as Fox8 reported.

The officers decided to spend some time at the Outback Steakhouse after their shits were over. They ordered their food, and everything went normal until the receipt arrived.

“They’re the sweetest guys,” waitress Zoe Rao shared. “I enjoy waiting on them.”

The manager of the steakhouse, Arline Wood, recognized the officers, who were regulars at the restaurant and decided on a plan with waitress Rao.

As the receipt for their $67 tab arrived, officers couldn’t believe their eyes, as there was a special message for them.

The manager and the waitress decided to pay for the tab of the officers, and to thank them for their service for the community.

“Be safe!” was written on the top of the receipt. “Thank y’all for y’all’s service! Enjoy y’all’s meal on us!”

“They care about the community. They care about everybody. They’re just great guys. Our whole police force is great and these guys at night, I went to Zoë and I said, let’s take care of it,” Manager Wood shared.

Slidell Police Department paid tribute to the Outback Steakhouse employees, and shared the receipt from their Facebook page.

The act of kindness went viral on social media, as Wood and Rao were not expecting it to be. In truth, they didn’t want their kindness to be come out in public.

“I got a phone call early in the morning and I was like what are you talking about?” Wood shared.

“People were calling me and then we saw it on Facebook, then it’s on this one and that one, and we didn’t do it for this publicity, because Lord knows I don’t like all this publicity.”
