Jerry and Megan were not experienced as parents. They were still in college when their daughter was born. Alice was the joy of their life. As they were still young, they planned a camp trip with their one-year-old daughter Alice.
As Alice kept crying most of the day, the parents decided to camp on a nearby lake instead of walking to their destination. Jerry pitched the tent, and Megan started to work on the food.
As they were eating, Alice started to cry again. She was inside the tent, while Jerry and Megan were near the lake, while the tent was away from there since they didn’t want their baby to wake up. As Jerry was going to the tent, he heard a voice from the baby monitor.
As both of the parents were shocked with what they heard, they rushed towards the tent, and found a stranger, a man sitting next to Alice. The man revealed that he was the priest of the town nearby, and that he heard the baby crying so he wanted to check if she was okay.
As Jerry and Megan learned the man was a priest, they offered a tea to thank him for he checked their daughter.
The man accepted their offer as the parents insisted, and sat with them next to the fire. Alice was in her mother’s arms. The man asked that if they were scared when the parents saw him, and they nodded.
Then the priest started to speak of his experience from an orphanage. He adviced not to leave their children alone crying, because once the cries of a baby stops, then it means that the baby realising that he or she is alone, and unloved.
The priest explained that it is a dangerous thing for a baby to happen since it affects the whole adulthood of that person. After that, priest thanked for the tea, and took his leave.
Jerry and Megan hugged to Alice, and told her that they will never leave her and that they love her.
