The owner of the restaurant, Tim Richter talked with a reporter and shared that they didn’t add any charges to anyone recently, as they added surcharge only during COVID.

The owner added that they never threatened anyone too, and only had a talk with a parent when they were visited by a family with nine children, who kept running in the restaurant and disturbed other customers.

“We want parents to be parents,” Tim said, as he revealed that they didn’t charge extra.

Laura Spillman, a social media user who visited the restaurant shared, “That is crazy. For real? I don’t think you should do it because kids are cute.”

Another customer Anne Cox shared that paying extra would make parents control their children, and that could create a peaceful environment.

“Parents need to teach kids etiquette,” Cox said. “They need to teach kids to behave. There are other people in the world, so they should have fun in the right place.”

“This is the first time I’ve heard of that, and having a 20-month-old that maybe isn’t the best behaved at a restaurant, I’m hoping that I don’t get charged,” Federico Gambineri, a customer with children shared. “I feel that if I were charged, I would be very unhappy about it and probably never recommend the place to somebody.”
